The Receipt World Premiere
The official World Premiere of The Receipt took place this evening at 8:00pm in Charlottesville, Virginia. Approximately 200 people, including U.Va. faculty, staff, students, parents, and Charlottesville community members were in attendance at the event at Newcomb Hall Theatre on the campus of the University of Virginia. The film opened to praise and critical acclaim from the attendees. The day of the premiere also broke the record number of hits to both the official website and to the larger riverbendfilms.com site with over 13,000 page views and some 5,000 unique visitors between midnight of April 8th and 11:59pm on April 9th. There were another 7,000 page views on April 10th.
The morning of the premiere, The Receipt was featured on local Charlottesville radio stations 106.1 FM "The Corner" and WINA AM 1070 Newsradio and local media from NBC 29 News and the C-Ville Weekly arts magazine have conducted interviews of key cast/crew for forthcoming articles and TV spots.
