Sound editor Mike Benonis explained why this feature length film is so important. "The definition of student film tends to be accepted as a very short, a very small, low budget production, and what we tried to do it exactly the opposite of that," he said.

Shot in high definition and six-channel Dolby surround sound, it wouldn't look out of place at the Regal or Carmike theaters. Dealing with high-tech though, wasn't bender's biggest problem. "When you've got all these people who are busy all the time, the schedule is just..." he trailed off, shaking his head.

In the midst of the chaos, Charlottesville stole the spotlight. Write Rachel Bernstein said, "We celebrate Charlottesville. We celebrate UVA because there are so many beautiful locations here and around Charlottesville that provided wonderful backgrounds for the film."

Some of the crew will leave Charlottesville in May, but they're confident their masterpiece will live on. "It's a film that's non-distinguishable from independent films made on a one, two million dollar budget," insisted Bender.
