UVA students are the masterminds behind a new feature-length film. After a year of work "The Receipt" is ready for the public eye and available on DVD. Although it is the product of college kids' talents and budget, the crew says the film stands its ground against competition in Hollywood.

"The Receipt" was filmed between classes, homework and all the other things involved with college life. You probably wouldn't expect it to be top-notch. If you watch the 80-minute movie though, it's easy to forget who did the film-making.

"You put this DVD in and it looks like a Hollywood movie, sounds like a Hollywood movie," assured producer and director of The Receipt, Kevin Bender.

A year of work and $10,000 later, Kevin Bender is relishing in the release of "The Receipt", a romantic comedy centered around two college seniors and their uncertain futures. There were months of planning, filming and editing with a crew of 43 people.
