The Receipt (2008) recently became eligible to receive its own official IMDb page. IMDb, the Internet Movie Databse, an Amazon.com company, is the most visited movie website in the world and features an online cataloging of several hundred-thousand movie titles, actors, crew, and film industry technical and business details. The site is visited by approximately 1,000,000 people daily. Now, effective December 21, 2008, RiverBend Films' The Receipt has now joined the thousands of other films listed on the site and the vast marketing potential that this provides to the film.
The C-Ville Weekly News and Arts Magazine in Charlottesville, Virginia, has just written a feature on The Receipt, discussing in a humorous voice some of the unique aspects of The Receipt which makes it stand-out among UVa films. Also of note today, the original motion picture soundtrack of The Receipt is now live on iTunes, Rhapsody, and all other major online music vendors. It is also still available from the film's official website.
NBC 29 News in Charlottesville, Virginia, has just released a telecast showcasing the making and release of The Receipt. The telecast aired at 5:00am, 6:00am, and 12:00 noon in the Charlottesville broadcast area.
