25 February 2008

Yesterday we probably did what was the fastest film shoot I have ever done. Granted, it was for a minute-long scene, but the grand total time from load-in to strike was about 20 minutes, which is more than insanely fast. That really fast scene marks the effectual end of the cast's commitment to the film (in effect, "their contract has now ended"). Everything is now sitting in post-production, which is proceeding slowly right now. Video cutting is now approximately 95% complete, with music somewhere around 40% complete and audio post-production somewhere around 15% complete.

As promised, a teaser trailer for Receipt was released several days ago on the website, and also as promised, the official Blooper Reel went online today, complete with High Definition (720p) version. The official full-length theatrical trailer will be released sometime in early March 2008 after audio post-production is complete.

Actually, there's really not much else to say without boring everyone with the specific technical details of post-production (for those interested, there will be a brief "post-production" section on the DVD special features). For that reason, entries in the blog have become rather sparse (at best), and there aren't likely to be any blog additions for some time (unless I get a request to start giving technical specifics of post on the blog).
