RiverBend Films Launches Fundraiser for Quantum Suicide of Sophie Miller
01 February 2012

YORK COUNTY, VIRGINIA. Today RiverBend Films launched a capital campaign to raise funds and awareness for its coming feature film The Quantum Suicide of Sophie Miller, set to begin principal photography in three weeks. Darrell Poe, the film’s producer, will be the primary coordinator of the campaign. In addition to creating awareness and inciting preliminary interest in the film and its story, the producers hope to raise approximately $8,000 in supporting funds to supplement capital provided by RiverBend Films. Through the sourcing website www.IndieGoGo.com, interested supporters can pledge matching funds in amounts from five to five hundred dollars in exchange for promotional and marketing content, including DVDs, soundtrack copies, film posters, and exclusive film paraphernalia available only to cast and crew. All supporters will also receive public recognition on the IndieGoGo site, the film website, and the end credits of the completed film. This campaign will be the first of its kind undertaken by RiverBend Films, which has previously relied solely on profits from prior productions for capital, the necessity of additional financing an evident sign of the relatively sophisticated production values of this film as compared to other RiverBend Films’ productions and the continued increase in complexity of projects that RiverBend Films chooses to undertake.
