Seven Days Under the Sun was RiverBend Films' first feature-length film, as well as its first and only feature-length documentary. The 50-minute cinema-verite film from 2004 documents the post-high-school beach week experiences of four recent graduates. The unique style is neither purely emotional or strictly narrative, and utilizes both associational as well as continuity editing, and combines the unique use of music with sound effects. Out of a set of random set of impromptu footage, distinctive scenes and segments are constructed, but in such a fashion that they flow into one another rather than stand apart. Seven Days Under the Sun was one of the early cinematic achievements of RiverBend Films and still stands as one of its premiere accomplishments.
